Two New Practical Guidance Toolkits Provide Specific Guidance and Workflow Tools

Arlington, Virginia, August 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Bloomberg Law today announced two new Practical Guidance Toolkits aimed at providing guidance on ESG issues applicable to companies in the technology and financial services sectors.

Two new toolkits provide a broad overview of how technology and financial services companies may be exposed to risks and opportunities related to ESG issues, and guidance on how companies can prepare their ESG disclosures according to sustainability guidelines. provides a more detailed checklist that specifies factors to consider in New International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards incorporated into the Foundation’s International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). The Technology Industry ESG Toolkit provides tailored guidance for sub-industries within the technology sector, including software and IT services, technology manufacturing, Internet media and telecoms. The toolkit also includes guidance on common issues within the technology sector, such as human capital, supply chains, privacy and data security.

The Financial Services Industry ESG Toolkit provides tailored guidance for sub-industries within the financial services industry, such as wealth management, commercial banking, and investment banking. consumer finance; security and commodity exchange; and insurance companies. The toolkit also includes guidance on more specific issues within the Finserve sector, such as specific financial risks, environmental risks and human capital management considerations.
