Hillsboro County - Florida Arts and Culture Grant awards $3.3 million to Hillsboro County

About 40 Hillsboro County arts and cultural organizations and individuals have contributed approximately $3.3 million. Grants approved by the Florida Department of State, Arts and Culture Division 2022-2023. This year’s funding is more than double his 2021-2022 prize money. Grants include general program support, specific cultural projects, and funding for cultural institutions.

The Hillsborough County arts and cultural institution was one of the first businesses to close and the last to reopen in 2020. During these closures, local cultural nonprofits have shown great resilience and continued to offer outdoor shows, online art experiences, and more to engage their communities during difficult times. But they are still recovering from the lack of business caused by the pandemic. This high level of support from the State of Florida will help local institutions recover from difficult times and stay here for residents to enjoy in the future.
