The dates for the annual waterfowl blind draws throughout the season have been set for the Lake Berkley, Doug Travis, Green River Lake and Burren River Lake Wildlife Management Areas.
These are in addition to other public waterfowl hunting opportunities offered by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife offers a variety of waterfowl hunting opportunities at the WMA. These opportunities include quota hunts, daily draws, walk-in areas, and seasonally drawn blinds.
Seasonally drawn blinds ensure a spot for selected waterfowl hunters to hunt throughout the waterfowl season. These seasonally drawn blind draws take place well in advance of the season to give hunters time to build their blinds and plan all that the season requires. Selected hunters have initial rights to these waterfowl blind sites. However, any hunter can occupy the blinds when the depicted hunter is not using them.
Upcoming Seasonal Blind Draws include:
Doug Travis WMA, Carlisle County, Hickman County: 10 am (Central) Saturday, August 27th.
Lake Barkley WMA, Trigg and Lyon Counties: Monday, September 19, 8:00 am (Central) Participants will use the power station entrance and turn right to the lottery.

Hunters must also obtain Harvest Information Program confirmation numbers prior to the draw. To obtain a confirmation number, hunters should visit the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife website fw.ky.gov and[プロフィール]Click on the tab and you will have to answer a short survey about migratory bird hunting activity. This confirmation number, provided upon completion of the survey, must be on your hunting permit or Kentucky Migratory/Waterfowl Hunting Permit. A HIP confirmation number will be provided so hunters can also reprint their licenses free of charge after completing the survey.
Hunters who have earned blinds at the WMAs of Doug Travis, Lake Barkley, Green River Lake, or Barren River Lake will need to find, prepare and maintain blind sites for the 2022-2023 waterfowl season. Each tied Hunter can choose a Blind Sight co-owner during the season to use the Blinds in the absence of a tied Hunter. Co-owners must attend the draw.
Hunters may build permanent blinds or use boats or portable blinds, but each blind site must be affixed with a permanent marker identifying the permit holder for that site. Hunters initially retain the right to use blind sites, but these blind sites are open to the public if the hunter drawn or a co-owner does not enter the blinds 30 minutes prior to the shoot time.
